About Christ College

Centrally located at Burwood in Sydney’s inner-west, Christ College has over 200 students studying a range of courses from Diplomas, Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees right through to Postgraduate Research Doctorates in a mixture of both full-time and part-time study modes.

Christ College is governed by the Presbyterian Theological Centre Committee of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in New South Wales, and accredited through the Australian College of Theology.

Christ College exists to glorify God by preparing leaders for God’s church and its gospel-centred mission in the world, enabling God’s people to live for Christ in all of life.”

Though Christ College adopted a new name to coincide with the completion of our new building in 2014, we have a long and rich history in theological education stretching back to 1873.  From the Theological Hall (1873-1986), through the Presbyterian Theological Centre (1987-2013) and to the present day, our desire remains the same: honouring our past and embracing God’s exciting plans for us in the future, Christ College strives towards our vision of seeing growth in Christ-centred leadership for God’s church to God’s world.

In doing so, we are committed to God’s mission and his church, reformed theology, and providing fit-for-purpose leaders for his church through transformative and applied theological education for adult learners.
