COVID-19 & Loan Fee Exemption for Undergraduate ACT Courses

We have received communication from the Australian College of Theology (ACT) that the exemption from the 25% FEE-HELP loan fee for undergraduate ACT courses, which was due to expire on 30 September 2020, has been extended to 30 June 2021. The Australian College of Theology will be changing the Commonwealth Assistance Notice to show a loan fee amount of zero from now on. FEE‑HELP is a loan scheme that assists eligible fee paying students pay all or part of their tuition fees. FEE-HELP is available to eligible students studying ACT Awards.

You must complete a online FEE-Help application form each time you enrol in a new course.

Administration and Census Dates

If you wish to withdraw from a unit, please note the following dates. For re-crediting your FEE-Help balance after the census date, please consult the ACT FEE-Help recrediting policy, complete a FEE-Help re-crediting application form, and send it to the Academic Registrar.

You may withdraw before the Census Date without any penalties. After the Census Date and before the Withdrawal Date, you will forfeit your fees and receive a “Withdrawal” grade on your academic transcript. After the Withdrawal Date, you will forfeit your fees and receive a “Fail Withdrawal” grade on your academic transcript.

Semester 1 – Weekly classes and January Intensives
Census date: 31st of March
Withdrawal date: 12th of April

Semester 1 – March Intensives (Auckland, NZ)
Census date: 16th of March (second day of intensive)
Withdrawal date: 30th of March

Semester 2 – Weekly Classes and July Intensives
Census date: 31st of August
Withdrawal date: 13th of September

Semester 2 – August/September Intensives
Census date: TBA
Withdrawal date: TBA


Austudy is financial assistance for full-time students aged over 25. If you are studying an ACT Award full-time, you may be eligible for Austudy.
