Christ College’s Flagship Programs

Course of TrainingThis 4-year program is designed to prepare effective pastoral leaders for vocational ministry in the Presbyterian Church of Australia. It is the approved program of study for Presbyterian candidates for the ministry and can be studied within an Australian College of Theology Award. |

InternshipThis 3-year program developed and coordinated by the Centre for Pastoral Leadership is integrated within the Course of Training to form and equip effective pastoral leaders for God’s church. |

Leadership Development ProgramThis 2-year program developed and coordinated by the Centre for Pastoral Leadership is designed to prepare Christian leaders to lead people like Christ. Building on a distinctive commitment to biblical and theological foundations, contemporary leadership and organisational theory, and practical field-based experience, this unique and specialised program equips leaders to address one of the greatest challenges facing our churches today. The LDP can be studied within an Australian College of Theology award. It is now incorporated within the Internship program, but can still be completed as a standalone program. |

Ministry Training for WomenThis 2-year program is designed to prepare all women for all types of ministry. With teaching and mentoring components, and the chance to discuss topics with other women, MTW is the perfect program to equip you to serve Christ in every sphere of life. |

Church Leader Foundation ProgramThis 4-year part-time program developed and coordinated by the Centre for Pastoral Leadership is designed to equip church leaders for the challenges of pastoral leadership in Presbyterian and Reformed churches. The program will be offered as part of an Australian College of Theology award. It is now open to new students as a pilot program prior to the official launch in 2021.. |

Shepherd Leader TrainingThis 2-year program is for those thinking about pastoral leadership in a local church context. As a distance/online program, it is designed for church groups to work together in their own meetings. This program is an internal program, and is not accredited with the Australian College of Theology. The Shepherd Leader Training program will start in 2020. |

Chaplaincy TrainingThe Christ College/Jericho Road Chaplaincy Program aims to equip students with the advanced skills required to serve in various chaplaincy and institutional settings. The Program, once complete, allows students to meet the NSW government requirements for ministering in hospitals and prisons. |

Ministry Training Strategy x Ministry Training for WomenChrist College has partnered with Ministry Training Strategy (MTS) to deliver a ministry apprenticeship that incorporates Ministry Training Strategy as part of its curriculum. |
