ThD thesis was on Living in a Halfway House: The Rise of Liberal Evangelicalism in the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales, 1865-1915.
1980-3 – taught at the Presbyterian Bible College at Tangoa in Vanuatu.
1983-2000 – Presbyterian pastor of the Nambucca River charge. Helped to set up the Nambucca Valley Christian Community School in 1991 which is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church. Was chairman of the School Board.
1985 onwards – teaching Church History at the Presbyterian Theological Centre, Burwood, now Christ College.
Jan, 2000 onwards – pastor of Revesby Presbyterian church.
